Balsam laboratory (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. officially joined the SME Climate Center
Balsam laboratory (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. officially joined the SME Climate Center and pledged to halve greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2050, with regular reports on progress towards these goals.
The SME Climate Centre is co-hosted by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Index Roadmap Initiative, the We Mean Business Alliance and the UN Race to Zero event, with Nigel Topping, senior UK climate action advocate at the start of UN General Assembly Week and New York Climate Week Founded and supported by supply chain leaders including BT Group, Ericsson, IKEA, Telia, Unilever, and financial support from Amazon and Verizon.
The SME Climate Centre provides SMEs with a range of accessible tools and resources to help SMEs reduce emissions and build business resilience. Supply chain leaders such as BT Group, Ericsson, IKEA, Telia, Unilever and others have agreed to work with SME suppliers to improve climate performance and provide specific tools on the platform to share knowledge and exchange best practices. One of the most pressing threats to SMEs is climate change, which can slow economic growth by causing material losses, limiting resource availability, causing changes in demand, causing business and production disruptions, disrupting supply chains and forcing businesses to close. With 40% to 60% of small businesses unable to reopen after a disaster, controlling carbon emissions and building corporate business resilience is critical.
We will continue to support the national "dual carbon" policy, and under the guidance of the "1+N" policy, we will improve the company's net-zero path, continuously reduce our own carbon emissions, and continue to develop new green and low-emission products.
